Super quick question, i want to add e.g. L23:L39 into one cell however i also want to have the sum then divided by 100 then multiplied by 20 in order to calculate VAT onto this. I can do it by adding the cells L23:L39 into one cell then taking that cell and dividing it by 100 then mutliplying it by 20. However, is there a way of doing it which will bypass the above step? Thanks, Mike

I have been pulling out my hair every time I have to do our monthly calculations, due to the fact the formulations of our months end have been so complicating. You have saved me from going bald!!!! This is saved to my favourites and I will be on the lookout for more helpful hints on using Excel. THANK YOU.

at 2:18 u show a simply multiplication formula but when i do it, it reads #VALUE!.....why and what now?
R Kellett (10 months ago)
the column which holds the number is not wide enough to hold that actual number. You have to go to the top of the column and click on the line BETWEEN the two column titles to move the column over so it is wider. Then you will see the #VALUE content change into the desired number. Good luck!

is there any alternative of dragging. so that we can use for large column values in which we are unable to drag(i.e upto5000values) any formula??
R Kellett (10 months ago)
The video suggested double clicking on the top entry box in the desired column. One would double-click on the bottom right edge of that box; it is called the FILL function for the column headed by that box. Good luck!
