Afghanistan’s President Says Trump’s Taliban Strategy Is Working (HBO)

04:08
Afghanistan’s president says President Trump’s strategy to win the war against the Taliban is working, but that if U.S. troops were to withdraw the country would become a breeding ground for terrorism. Speaking exclusively to VICE News, Ashraf Ghani said a 3-day ceasefire with the Taliban in June is proof that Afghanistan is moving towards peace saying, “For the first time the possibility of peace is really at hand” Despite Ghani’s optimism, there’s little to be hopeful about. This year is on track to be the deadliest for Afghan civilians since fighting began. The government’s grip on power has also rarely been so shaky. Today, the Taliban control or contest more territory than at any point in the conflict. Recently the group won a major victory in their long-simmering war, taking over the city of Ghazni, a strategic provincial capital less than 100 miles from Kabul. Yet the Afghan leader appeared undeterred, describing the loss of Ghazni as a mere , “intelligence failure.” And he stressed that U.S. support is vital to reaching his ultimate goal of reconciliation. “If Afghanistan collapses, international terrorism is going to have a breeding ground, a launching pad that is going to be unparalleled,” Ghani said. The Taliban has said it will refuse direct peace talks with Ghani’s government until there is a clear timeline for U.S. forces withdrawal from Afghanistan. Taliban peace talks an oxymoron

02:46
Peace talks with the Taliban barbarians only taken seriously by USA Democrats and President Obama (Democrat). The day the talks were announced the Taliban murdered four Americans. The day this video was made the Taliban murdered 11 foreigners (of which one was an American) in Pakistan. Is this how peace talks are conducted? Holding peace talks with the Taliban is equal to holding peace talks with Hitler and the Nazis. Unconditional surrender was demanded of the Nazis and the same should be demanded of the Taliban barbarians. Iran report of an official Taliban delegation’s clandestine visit to Iran this week

05:57
Report: Afghanistan's Taliban sends delegation to Iran to discuss migrants TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — A delegation from Afghanistan's Taliban has arrived in Iran to discuss the situation of Afghan migrants and issues in the Islamic world, Iran's semi-official Tasnim news agency reported Tuesday. The report said the delegation arrived in Iran on Monday and was headed by Muhammad Tayyab Agha, who is in charge of the Taliban's political bureau in Qatar. It says the delegation met Iranian security officials and that similar delegations have visited Iran twice in the past. It was not immediately clear why Iranian officials would hold talks with the Taliban. The Taliban espouse a radical version of Sunni Islam that considers Shiites apostates, and when the Taliban ruled Afghanistan in the 1990s they nearly went to war with Shiite-majority Iran. Iran supported the 2001 U.S.-led invasion that drove the Taliban from power, but Tehran is opposed to the continued presence of U.S. and NATO forces in its eastern neighbor. http://www.usnews.com/news/world/articles/2015/05/19/report-afghanistans-taliban-sends-delegation-to-iran http://multimedia.tasnimnews.com/Media/MediaGallery/751547

Was Bergdahl A Deserter And Taliban Collaborator?

04:38
In 2010, a Pentagon investigation found that Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl walked away from his unit and after an initial large-scale search, the focus became on trying to negotiate to get him back instead of trying to rescue him. An unnamed former Pentagon official also stated the investigation was "incontrovertible." The investigation shows that members of his unit say he became delusional and was focused on trying to help the Afghan people before he left. Prince Harry rushed to Camp Bastion safe-house during Taliban assassination attempt

00:51
Prince Harry was rushed to a safe-house during last September's Taliban attack on the seemingly impregnable British-run Camp Bastion, a new report has revealed. The red-headed royal, who was stationed at the base, was among the raiding party's prime targets. But, Captain Harry Wales, as he was known to fellow soldiers, was quickly whisked away by British troops to a safe-house. The fourth-in-line to the British throne had arrived at the base as part of a three-month tour that saw him flying an Apache helicopter. He served as a pilot/gunner with the 662 Squadron Army Air Corps. The Taliban expressed their eagerness to dispatch of the young royal just days earlier. "We have informed our commanders in Helmand to do whatever they can to eliminate him," said Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid to the press four days prior, according to the Daily Mail. The coordinated Taliban raid, which targeted aircrafts and military fuel farms sparked a four hour-long night-time skirmish. The article, which appeared in this month's GQ Magazine has shed light on how the 15 Taliban fighters managed to breach the heavily-fortified, almost 30,000-man military base. Three teams of five heavily-armed insurgents, who donned US Army uniforms, made their way past sentry-filled guard towers the night of September 14th 2012. The armed men went on to kill two US marines and cause over $200 million in damages, before being subdued. The attack, which saw the destruction or damage of eight aircrafts, represented the worst day for American airpower since Vietnam. -------------------------------------------------------- TomoNews is your daily source for top animated news. We hope, you will like this video. Please Let us share Real Quick Analysis with you in future as well, so please subscribe our channel Real Quick Info. Please don't forget to click on Bell icon as well to get notification, as soon as we upload interesting new video. Now Lets discuss about today's topic. While sixth round of Quadrilateral Coordination Groups meeting is being held in between US Pakistan China and Afghanistan in Muscat to revive peace talk between the afghan government and the Taliban. The talk with Taliban has not succeeded in the past. It’s unlikely that it will be successful in future as well. But still these four powers are discussing on ways to find a peace while taking on board the Taliban in Afghanistan. You would laugh at the fact, its Pakistan’s responsibility to bring Taliban to dialogue table. But the experience suggests that any kind of pact with terrorist is zero sum game. The very first condition, for any talk itself should be to FIRST stop all terrorist activities. India learned this approach hard way after long decades of struggle with terrorism. As of now, it looks like working in Jammu and Kashmir. The problem is behind Taliban, Pakistan China and Russia are promoting their self interests. Unfortunately, even if the peace talk succeeds with Taliban, its unlikely that agreement will last long, since Even the jihadists are not loyal to their sponsors, who are participating in the talks. Because at the end of the day they are foot soldiers who fight, and they know nothing other than waging jihad against infidels, including, sometimes, their allies. Interestingly, one of the aim of this quadrilateral talk is to review the performance of Pakistan on its peace commitments identified in previous meetings. This meeting got in fact delayed, because there was no significant improvement in the behavior of Pakistan. Though, India has been an important stakeholder in Afghanistan, still it was not invited in this talk. One of the primary reason is, There is strong objection from Pakistan's side on any involvement of India in Afghanistan. In this background, Indian national security advisor Ajit Doval have proactively visited Afghanistan to discuss measures to stabilize the war torn Afghanistan. We all know, In recent years Doval has delivered significant results in Indian fight against terrorism. his expertise in counter terrorism strategy is beyond any doubt. We can hope, he would have shared key insights with them. If Afghanistan takes advantages of his viewpoint after the quadrilateral talk, it will be beneficial for Afghanistan and will also protect Indian interests there. Due to the another Great Game being played by four countries, more threatening organization which is gaining its roots in Afghanistan is the Islamic State of Khorasan (ISK). Its geographical presence gives it strategic advantage, To expand its Caliphate to South Asia in the long term, it has established stronghold in north eastern Afghanistan. In the short term, ISK is threat to both China and Russia. Russia is reported to believe that US is supporting ISK to contain Chinese and Russian influence in Afghanistan. Hence, they are taking sides with Taliban. Regardless this new monster in the form of ISK may turn out to be grave menace from Indian point of view as well. In this back drop, we cannot sit idle, if people are not inviting us in meeting, we should proactively go ahead and make people listen to us, after all we can at least fore warn them. Whether they accept or not, we need to aggressively play smart game. in your views, can ISK impact Indian interests in the short term?, please let us know your view point in comment section below. For this video we have referred a few online articles. you can find their links in the description box below. Friends, we Thank you for watching this video!!

Japan vs. The Islamic State

13:56
The brutal beheadings of Japanese nationals Kenji Goto and Haruna Yukawa by the Islamic State in January have shocked the island nation and lent momentum to an effort to expand the limitations imposed on its constitution and military after its defeat by the United States in World War II. Leftists in Japan fear that the incident will encourage a departure from the country's pacifist constitution, whose Article 9 states that "the Japanese people forever renounce… the threat or use of force as a means of settling international disputes." Right-wingers, meanwhile, see an opportunity to allow Japan to assert itself as a truly sovereign state. VICE News reports from Japan as its prime minister and right wing are pushing for re-militarization of the pacifist nation, amid protests from the left who staunchly oppose any changes to Article 9 of the constitution. The rise of ISIS, explained in 6 minutes

06:18
Its history goes back way before the group ever existed. Subscribe to our channel! http://goo.gl/0bsAjO In the few short years since the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria formed, it has done the seemingly impossible, seizing vast areas of the Middle East to form a mini-state it calls a reincarnation of the ancient Caliphate. It is at war with all its neighbors and virtually the entire world, yet someone remains, and is launching increasingly deadly terror attacks abroad. To understand how this terrible group came about and how it has grown so powerful, you need to understand the story behind its rise. And that is a story that goes back decades, to long before ISIS existed. Afghanistan Explained: The war that never ends

03:36
In 38 years, Afghanistan has gone from being the downfall of the Soviet Union to the longest war in US history. In that time, the people have endured a brutal civil war, the rise of the Taliban, and a US-led invasion that continues to this day. This is an explainer on how the nation that helped end the Cold War is still mired in conflict nearly four decades later. Miracle escape of the new Rorke's Drift Paras: Cut-off, surrounded and outnumbered - the incredible untold story of the 88 British soldiers who spent 56 days holding off 500 Taliban fighters... and survived. Outgunned, outmanoeuvred, hopelessly outnumbered and besieged in the Afghan desert, a small band of British soldiers chose to save a final bullet for themselves rather than fall into Taliban hands. For nearly two months, the 88 men of Easy Company – a mix of Paratroopers and the Royal Irish – had faced the overwhelming force and firepower of up to 500 Taliban determined to over-run the remote Helmand outpost of Musa Qala. And their near miraculous survival has been described as a latter day Rorke’s Drift, evocative of the 1879 siege in which 140 British soldiers held off a Zulu force of 3,000, later immortalised in the blockbuster film starring Michael Caine. For 56 days in the autumn of 2006, the men at Musa Qala faced constant fire from fixed machine gun posts and mortars. Hungry and frequently at the point of exhaustion, they were forced to somehow fend off 360-degree attacks from the Taliban, with little protection beyond a series of low mud walls. They used up a quarter of all the British Army’s Afghan ammunition for that entire year. Yet today their heroism remains little known, not least because the Ministry of Defence has never permitted the full story of what happened there ten years ago this month to be told. BREAKING: Putin To Trump - I will arm your enemies if you send arms to mine

01:56
Putin to Trump: If You Arm the Ukraine, I Will Arm the Taliban When big countries fight, sometimes little guys caught in between actually benefit. When Russia was fighting the Taliban in the 80s, the US armed them, creating, among other things, a massive world terrorist threat. Now that the US is firmly entrenched in a 16 year quagmire in the same place, Putin just offered to return the favor. The US has been accusing Russia of arming the Taliban all year. The neocon mouthpiece, The Atlantic magazine, just ran a big article about it. And Rex Tillerson has been saying as much. Russia insists that this is ridiculous, because they would be hurting themselves, because the Taliban are actively trying to destabilize the Muslim countries on Russia's periphery, and in fact, Russia has spent much of the last couple of decades doing everything it can to foil the Taliban. However, if pushed too far in the Ukraine, Russia might figure it is now worth it. Maybe they already have. The strategy worked before in Vietnam with spectacular results. It was as much the Russians who defeated the Americans in Vietnam as the North Vietnamese. They sent massive and vital arms, and advisors, without which the Vietnamese would have never won. That might be why John McCain hates Russia so much, that and because the neocons pay him to. Very interesting insight from people who know the situation well.

Jakarta Is The World's Fastest-Sinking City (HBO)

05:16
Jakarta is sinking — and it’s sinking fast, with current estimates predicting half the city will be underwater by 2030. To cope with the unfolding crisis, the city is building a $10 billion sea wall to keep flood waters out, but that’s only a temporary solution. Parts of the city, home to nearly 10 million people, have sunk over 10 feet in the last few decades, and some areas are submerging at a rate of up to seven inches per year. The problem is driven by the millions of Indonesians who rely on drawing water up from aquifers that lay beneath the city’s foundation to survive. And since the city was built on-top of marshlands, this practice is directly contributing to the ground’s collapse. Finding a viable long-term solution has put city-planners, politicians and citizens at odds with one another.
