Ask China: How Eurasian Resources Group flourishes along the Belt and Road?
Kazakhstan is a pivotal country along the Belt and Road, a trade and infrastructure network connecting Asia with Europe and Africa along ancient silk trading routes. Since the launch of the Belt and Road Initiative in 2013, economic relations have thrived between China and Kazakhstan. Eurasian Resources Group (ERG), a leading diversified natural resources group in Kazakhstan, is a participant and beneficiary of the initiative. So how is its business along the Belt and Road? What are the opportunities and risks when investing in Belt and Road countries? And has ERG received any support in its moves to expand in China or other countries? To further support my claim of extraterrestrial beings living among us, I present you exhibit B of my… I dunno, three, four-part presentation. Five? Maybe five. If I’m gonna be honest, I haven’t quite thought this “alien showcase” thing through yet, I’m kinda just figuring this shit out as I go along. Whatever. Point is, Jimmy’s got a bunch of weird shit he needs to scratch off of the massive list of stuff he needs to share, with Resource Group being second in his line of otherworldly nonsense. And boy, does it spank hard. But here’s the catch: I don’t know shit about Resource Group. I mean, I DID have an opportunity to ask for information back when some random guy shared it with me on Facebook, but for whatever reason, I never asked about it. The guy even offered to provide answers for me. Don’t give me that look, fucker. I get a LOT of messages, alright? So I’m afraid we’re all gonna have to stay in the dark for this one, unless any of you happen to be educated on this cryptic-ass synthpunk group from Georgia – my sensors are showing that it ain’t likely, though. But from what I can gather, Resource Project seems to be another addition to the recent wave of “pseudo-corporate punk” spearheaded by the likes over at Discontinuous Innovation Inc. I’m kinda surprised that this tape hasn’t found its way onto that label by this point, it almost seems like the natural order of things when it comes to bands of this kitschy, tongue-in-cheek sort. But with that introduction alone, I’m sure one could assume the essence of Resource Group’s sound: repetitive, jarring, unstable, childish, and more importantly, fucking weird. And you know what? I REALLY like the cut of this band’s jib. Even if I have no clue as to what this project is or what it’s hoping to accomplish with this five-track tape, the sheer eccentricity and originality of these compositions is not only enough to allure me, but also outright swoon me. So sure, I don’t know anything about Resource Group. For all I know, it could’ve been written and recorded by a basement-dwelling incel over the course of four years, and it still wouldn’t change my opinion on the project. I think it’s really, really good. It’s a jittery bout of punk, funk, and a grating variety of synth junk. I can’t see why this tape WOULDN’T be worth at least one thumbs up from anyone fortunate enough to listen to it.
Lenovo SysAdmin Day.Kharkiv 2018 - https://youtu.be/V8h4IwMfwys Предыдущие видео из серии использования ИТ-инфраструктуры для системных администраторов: * Использование инфраструктуры Azure для системных администраторов, часть 1 - 15 шагов ДО облаков - https://youtu.be/ymfQJjAbPe8 * Использование инфраструктуры Azure для системных администраторов, часть 2 - виртуальный облачный ЦОД - https://youtu.be/MEjC_GityKc * Использование инфраструктуры Azure для сисадминов, часть 4 - основные инструменты управления в Azure - https://youtu.be/2seXQ947V3k И, желательные к просмотру другие видео - которые расширяют и дополняют темы Azure: * SysAdmin vs DevOps–что разного и что общего–будущее системных администраторов на примере автоматизации развертывания и конфигурирования VM в Azure–Infrastructure as Code и инструменты DevOps, которыми сисадмин должен будет владеть в ближайшем будущем - http://bit.ly/SysAdmin_vs_DevOps * Lenovo SysAdmin Day.Kharkiv 2018 - планирование миграции ИТ-инфраструктуры в облако Azure - https://youtu.be/V8h4IwMfwys С точки зрения Azure - ресурсная группа/Azure Resource Group является фундаментальным объектом Azure Resource Manager (движка, которым управляет пользовательской частью Azure) и именно к ресурсной группе применяется подход декларативного описания инфраструктуры - Infrastructure as Code (IaC) с использованием тех самых шаблонов Azure Resource Manager templates (ARM).

There are some other types of resource that we'll look at a little bit later on in the course. But for the moment, for our house build project, we're going to concentrate on the people and the materials and the equipment. Now when you're looking at a Gantt Chart, which is a view in Microsoft Project that most people use an awful lot of the time, you're basically looking at the tasks involved in your project. If you want to look at the resources, there are a number of views specifically related to resources. Now if I click on the button below Gantt Chart there on the Task tab on the left, click on that, I get a list of available views, and one of the available views is Resource Sheet. And we click on Resource Sheet first and we'll see a list of the resources that we currently have on our project. Note with the view that you've got a label on its side down the side just reminding you which view you've got. You've got the Resource Sheet View. And another thing to note is that down at the bottom at the right hand end of the status bar, as I mentioned earlier on, you've got some buttons to switch between the most commonly used views. Now the button on the left, the first one of those, the one that's highlighted at the moment is Gantt Chart. So to switch back to Gantt Chart, I can just click on that and the one three to the right of that is the Resource Sheet View. So if I click on that, that switches me back to Resource Sheet. They're two of the views that you're going to use the most while you're working with Microsoft Project. Now let me set up some resources and one way of setting up resources is to set them up in the Resource Sheet. Now the first thing I'm going to do is to define a resource called Brick Layer. Now a brick layer is a person who lays bricks. And whenever there's some brick laying to do, I'm probably going to assign a brick layer to a task. Now it's very important to recognize here that I am not talking about a named person. This isn't the brick layer called John Doe or Jane Doe; this is a brick layer in general. And there are some situations, perhaps in longer termed planning, where I may use a resource of brick layer knowing that I need a brick layer but I don't know specifically which one yet. And there are some situations where I may assign an individual straightaway, but more of that later. For the moment, we'll just say brick layer. The next thing we need to do is to click into the next field which is type and select a type. Now in many ways this choice is the most important one of all. There are basically three resource types, although there is a special case that we'll talk about later as well. But with those three resource types, it's very important that you assign the correct one. Now as soon as I put the cursor into this type cell in the resource sheet, you'll see that a number of other fields got values on the right there. Many of these are related to cost and we're going to talk about cost later on, so I'm really going to ignore the cost ones for the moment. But a couple of these fields are important. One of the ones that's important is Max and the max field says what's the maximum number of this thing that we have available. Oh-oh!
