The Truth About the Titanic Has Been Revealed

11:03
Recent findings reveal the truth that has been buried for over one hundred years. Scientists have debunked the theory that the cause of the Titanic sinking was an iceberg. Why did Titanic sink? What's the real cause of the Titanic crash? HOW TITANIC SANK On April 14th, 1912 at 11:40 p.m. RMS Titanic had a terrible accident that led to its ultimate demise 3 hours later. By 2:20 a.m. in the early morning of April 15th, the biggest ship of its time had completely disappeared under the ice-cold surface of the Atlantic Ocean. The Titanic took more than 1,500 lives with it as it sank to its watery grave. TITANIC MYSTERY The cause of this horrible disaster leading to so many deaths was an iceberg the ship crashed into. Or so we’ve always been told... But scientists’ most recent findings have debunked this theory. In this video, we’ll tell you the whole truth that has been buried for over one hundred years. TIMESTAMPS How Titanic sank 0:08 How Titanic was made 1:00 The real cause of the catastrophe 3:04 The interior of the Titanic 5:10 Another tragic coincidence 6:20 Another criminal negligence: the lifeboats 7:23 Some people also blame Captain Smith 8:25 HOW TITANIC WAS MADE The Titanic had 4 massive smokestacks. Each of them weighed 60 tons, and they extended 81.5 feet above the deck. Such an impressive height was necessary to avoid covering the passengers in 100 tons of soot blown off daily. The smokestacks were placed at a 30° angle to look even more astonishing and imposing. No less awe-inspiring was the cost of the ship. Its construction demanded $7,500,000. If we take into account modern exchange rates and inflation, in 2016 they would be paying $166,000,000. Surprisingly, it would turn out cheaper than the production of the world-famous movie Titanic in 1997, which cost $200,000,000! Criminal negligence, tragic and unfortunate chain of coincidences, fire or ice: whatever it was, it took the lives of hundreds of people and still keeps the minds of scientists busy to this day. HOW TO UNDERSTAND YOUR CAT BETTER

09:20
How to understand your cat? How to make friends with your cat? Everyone knows that cats are the most illogical and unpredictable pets. Just try to work out what’s going through that furry little head! It turns out that cats have their own language, and if you learn it there’s a chance you’ll understand them much better. We’ve put together all of the possible cat behaviors to help you find a common language with your pet (well, if it allows you to). Also, we’ve prepared three essential tips that will help you communicate with cats better. HOW TO COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR CAT • How to make your cat trust you Lowering your cat to the ground, make sure its paws have reached the floor. Your cat will trust you and know that it won’t tumble if you let it go. • How to stroke your cat If you sit on the floor with your legs crossed and look at your cat, it will interpret this as a friendly gesture and come up to you to let you stroke it. Also, stretch your hand out in its direction. Your middle finger should be a little lower than the others. The cat will start rubbing its nose or face against your hand. • How to make your cat appear A cat may go and hide and only appear when it’s alone or hears a calm voice. TIMESTAMPS Cat's tail 0:52 Cat's eyes 3:47 Cat's interaction with people 4:38 Cat gestures 6:14 Cat language 6:57 How to communicate with your cat better 8:09 MAIN CAT GESTURES • If a cat raises its nose up and throws its head, it’s saying, “I see you.” Cats often make this gesture to people walking past the window. Have you ever noticed it? • A cat might press its ears against its head if it feels scared, worried, or wants to play. They also do this when they are sniffing something that’s interested them. • When a cat sticks its tongue out slightly and licks itself, it’s worried or anxious. CAT LANGUAGE • Cats generally greet people or announce their presence with a short sound. • Lengthy meowing indicates that your cat is very glad to see you. This occurs if you’re away from home for a long time. • A medium-length meow might be a request for water or food. • A long sound (a mix of purring and meowing) is a more insistent request or demand. • A low meow is a complaint or indication of dissatisfaction. Also, it might mean your cat is ready to fight. • A loud sound often indicates an urgent demand (for instance, you cat needs more food). • A purring or vibrating sound indicates a desire for closer contact or attention. Cats purr for various reasons, but most often they do it when they are happy. Now you know how to find a common language with any cat. By the way, are you a cat person or a dog person? Hit the like button for cats, and leave a short comment if you are in love with dogs! A Japanese Method to Develop Creativity in Kids

09:17
Subscribe to Bright Side : https://goo.gl/rQTJZz For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected] ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Japanese people are known for their intelligence, politeness, and wellness. Why is this nation so unique and different from the rest of the world? It seems we’ve found the answer – they have an incredibly cool education system and unique teaching methods! Watch till the end – there is a small but brilliant bonus for you. Let’s start with a unique Japanese method in the schools for developing creativity in kids. We believe that the whole world needs to adopt! It’s called “Nameless paints.” Japanese designers named Yusuke Imai and Ayami Moteki created an unusual set to teach kids colors and painting. This fantastic set won the 2012 Kokuyo Design Award. Let’s see how it works. “Nameless paints” includes ten tubes that don’t have color names such as “yellow,” “blue,” or “green.” Instead, there are only spots of a particular color or colors on each tube. As you can see, the spots are also different sizes. The designers’ aim is to change the way kids think and learn. They want children to understand what shade they will get if they mix certain colors. For instance, a child looks at the tube with two spots: pink and blue. He doesn’t know what color hides inside. He squeezes the tube and gets… purple color! So, as a result, the kid learns that the same amounts of pink and blue paints create purple. Here’s another example – a tube with a big blue spot and small pink one. It means if you mix a small amount of the pink color and a large amount of the blue color, you’ll get dark-blue color. Interesting, right? As you can see, each tube hides a particular color inside. Pink, yellow, blue, purple, red, dark green, dark blue, orange, light-green, and black. However, to get one of these shades, the child should think about which colors create it. As a result, they learn how to create new colors and how to mix them. It’s an easy and fun way to understand the color theory. Recent studies have shown that free thinking is an attribute that a person can acquire over time, and the schools play the most important part in developing creativity. Now, here’s the bonus – 10 brilliant features of the Japanese education system the whole world needs to adopt. The success of the Japanese culture is very simple: they put a lot of effort and time in the education system trying to make it not only useful but also fun. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/brightside/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/brightgram/ 5-Minute Crafts Youtube: https://www.goo.gl/8JVmuC  ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more videos and articles visit: http://www.brightside.me/

11 Secrets to Memorize Things Quicker Than Others

10:46
We learn things throughout our entire lives, but we still don’t know everything because we forget a lot of information. Bright Side will tell you about 11 simple memorizing tips that will help you remember everything and improve your memory. TIMESTAMPS Why we forget things 1:04 How to remember everything 2:00 How to memorize something quickly 2:30 How to memorize something for a long time 3:20 Try to understand what you learn 4:17 Learn the most necessary information 5:11 Serial position effect 5:45 Interference theory 6:06 Learn opposite things 7:22 Build your own «mind palace» 7:22 Use «nail words» 8:19 Make up stories 8:40 Use a tape recorder 9:10 Visualize 9:51 Choose only the best materials 9:59 SUMMARY - Your brain is like a hard drive — the space is limited. Remember Sherlock Holmes? He couldn’t name all the planets of the Solar system — this was not because he missed school or something like that, but because he was too smart to have such irrelevant information in his memory. He deliberately erased facts he would never need. This is what your brain does: it protects you from overloading with information. That’s why all new data is stored in the short-term memory, not the long-term one. So, if you don’t repeat it or use it, you forget it very quickly. A German psychologist, Hermann Ebbinghaus researched the memory and its mechanisms. He described the Forgetting Curve which shows that just one hour after learning something new we forget more than half of the learned information. One day later we remember only about 30% percent. Well, you see where this is going. - There is a memorization technique called «Spaced repetition». To keep some information in your head for a longer time, you need to try to put it into your long-term memory. Forced memorization is not very effective in this case because your brain can’t make sense of the information quickly and form strong associations. Here it all depends on the reason why you are learning something. - To memorize something quickly, repeat the information right after learning it. The second repetition should be after 15-20 minutes. You don’t need to return to the information between repetitions — just rest and do something different. Let your brain relax. Repeat the learned material the third time after 6-8 hours. And you should have the final repetition 24 hours after the first contact with the information. Do you know any other memorizing tips? If yes, share them in the comment section below! If you are looking for something particular, for example the name of your team on the sports pages, you scan the text. You are trying to find a specific piece of information. 02. Reading for pleasure is an example of extensive reading. You don’t worry too much about every word. You get involved in the story in a novel, for instance, and are eager to find out what happens. In contrast, if you are reading a text intensively. You are focusing on the details and the exact meaning. You might need to do this with instructions for a new computer or a school or university textbook, for example. 03. When you do any reading, you need to make it an active process. Predict what the text is going to be about from the title or the pictures. After you have read a text, do something with the new information you have. 04. With every article from a newspaper or magazine you read, think about these questions: - Who is the article about? - Where and when is the article talking about? - What are the main points of the article? - What kind of people would find the article interesting to read? - What is your opinion of/reaction to the article? If someone you know has read the same article, talk about it with them. What do they think? Do you agree with them? ________________________________________ Get in touch with our blog: https://www.mrkielts.com ________________________________________ Enjoy & stay connected with us! ► Subscribe to MRK IELTS: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCRqFVKBfllKuZArQrcNVqFA?sub_confirmation=1 ► Like us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/mrkielts ► Follow us on Twitter: https://twitter.com/mrkielts ► Follow us on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/mrkielts ► Email us: [email protected] ► WhatsApp : +8801516720942 ________________________________________ Watch other Videos like this below: ► IELTS Reading | Top 07 Tips & Tricks | Part 02 https://youtu.be/WyOplFuUwbM ________________________________________ ► IELTS Speaking | Top 09 Tips & Tricks | Part 01 https://youtu.be/2OKlaIBgEuY ► IELTS Speaking | Top 09 Tips & Tricks | Part 02 https://youtu.be/bD8dDrn-5oE ________________________________________ ► IELTS Listening | Top 10 Tips & Tricks | Part 01 https://youtu.be/WKadUb_adgc ► IELTS Listening | Top 10 Tips & Tricks | Part 02 https://youtu.be/ebdb_yH-WsM ________________________________________ ► IELTS Reading | 14 Secret Tips & Tricks | Part 01 https://youtu.be/L4nOWeF7rRU ► IELTS Reading | 14 Secret Tips & Tricks | Part 02 https://youtu.be/k6QTP-UrfMs ► IELTS Reading | 14 Secret Tips & Tricks | Part 03 https://youtu.be/Ytk9VCUqnhU ► IELTS Reading | 14 Secret Tips & Tricks | Part 04 https://youtu.be/x3M3_qQGcc4 ► IELTS Reading | 14 Secret Tips & Tricks | Part 05 https://youtu.be/VECcMoOLyoY ________________________________________ ► IELTS Writing | Top 08 Tips & Tricks | Part 01 https://youtu.be/f_QI_TFQq-U ► IELTS Writing | Top 08 Tips & Tricks | Part 02 https://youtu.be/f8ag7HqkMwY ________________________________________ ► Why are you taking IELTS? https://youtu.be/sk2oHNy7a_g ► IELTS Test Format https://youtu.be/NFKeQ0zXFt4 ________________________________________ ► IELTS Reading | Top 14 Tips & Tricks | Part 01 https://youtu.be/39LDwW_XzWE ► IELTS Reading | Top 14 Tips & Tricks | Part 02 https://youtu.be/WNrqBjluikA ► IELTS Reading | Top 14 Tips & Tricks | Part 03 https://youtu.be/-mckKzRVLRw ► IELTS Reading | Top 14 Tips & Tricks | Part 04 https://youtu.be/4c_YHJrMQQQ ► IELTS Reading | Top 14 Tips & Tricks | Part 05 https://youtu.be/jqx3IZGoZBI ________________________________________ ► IELTS Speaking | Top 09 Tips & Tricks | All Parts https://youtu.be/hEnJhB2L4tw ► IELTS Reading | 14 Secret Tips & Tricks | All Parts https://youtu.be/waq2IAeirCY ► IELTS Listening | Top 10 Tips & Tricks | All Parts https://youtu.be/8yTxQ9r00ps ► IELTS Writing | Top 08 Tips & Tricks | All Parts https://youtu.be/eDXlnNV9tLU ► IELTS Reading | Top 07 Tips & Tricks | All Parts https://youtu.be/_r8x9O4Me88 ► IELTS Reading | Top 14 Tips & Tricks | All Parts https://youtu.be/tYw8cSkeGrE ________________________________________ ► IELTS Writing Task 1 | Describing Trends https://youtu.be/aTGJQ25v_00

3 Reasons You Shouldn't Do Homework With Your Kids

06:38
It’s been a long time since you were in school, but you’re still doing homework. Why is that? Oh, right, because without you, your kid wouldn’t get any of their assignments done, and they’d be flunking all their classes! Yes, your intentions are in the right place, but, unfortunately, you’re not helping your child out as much as you think. In fact, you’re doing more harm than good, and you’re about to find out why! TIMESTAMPS: A child loses their motivation to study 1:20 They don’t learn to be responsible 2:28 It hurts the parent-child relationship 3:27 Bonus: What can parents do to actually help with homework? 4:47 Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY: - Based on what they’ve seen in their research, a group of German psychologists warn that the more parents are involved in their kid’s homework, the less the child will want to learn. - By forcing your kid to do their homework and punishing them for bad grades, you take on their responsibility to study. By default, that means you remove it from their shoulders. - Psychologists recommend building a trusting relationship with your child and spending more time together. Read out loud, discuss things happening in science and in the world, and find new interesting things to do together. - Make up a regular homework schedule together with your kid. Decide how many hours a day will be dedicated to a certain assignment, how many breaks they’ll take, and so on. Help your child stay on that track without stressing your diligent student out. 10 Tips to Improve Your Reading Comprehension

12:46
10 Tips to Improve Your Reading Comprehension 1. "Never read a book without a pen in your hand." ~ Benjamin Franklin - That's great advice whether you write in your books or take notes in a notebook. Personally, I write, scribble, highlight, argue and draw symbols in all my books. 2. Read a whole paragraph / section BEFORE you stop to highlight or take a note. Don't stop right when you see something interesting; keep reading to get the "big picture" or context of what stood out to you. Then "reread" when you make your notes. 3. Read important sections out loud. A person reads much slower when you read out loud than when you read silently, but studies show that if you read out loud, you tend to retain things better because you're engaging multiple senses (hearing and seeing). 4. Read silently with quick "check-marks." There are times when you should read silently and simply use a pencil to "check" sections in the margins you want to go back and reread later. This will help you get through a book quicker without being distracted by stopping to highlight or write. 5. Explain what you read. When you finish a chapter / section of a book, take a break and "think" about what you've read and, in your mind, "explain it" to someone. See if you can structure your thoughts so as to be able to repeat back to someone what you've read. This is a great exercise. I do this A LOT when I read - and actually "talk through it" out loud to myself walking around my office or in the car. 6. Learn to "X-ray" a book by reviewing the Table of Contents and only reading the sections / chapters that will be benefit you. And don't feel like you have to read an entire book. 7. Pay attention to summary words - "therefore" or "as a result" or "in conclusion." When you see a summary / conclusion word, make sure you understand the author's points and argument that has led to his conclusion. 8. Circle / Underline key words in a sentence. 9. Mark words you don't know - and look them up! If you have a Kindle this is much easier. Looking up words you don't know increases your understanding of the author's intent, but it also increases your vocabulary! 10. You should read How to Read a Book by Mortimer Adler and Charles Van Doren. This is a "must read" book! You can get a great price on it at Amazon or WTSBooks.com.

15 Secret WhatsApp Tricks You Should Try

08:26
15 WhatsApp Secret Features You Probably Didn’t Know About. Did you know how to find out the exact time someone read your message? Watch the video and learn all these amazing WhatsApp hacks! It's no wonder that in recent years WhatsApp became a huge part of our lives – it's convenient, quick and easy to use. Pretty much everyone has a large WhatsApp contact list and spend hours each day to catch up with their families, friends or plan some events! TIMESTAMPS How to change the font on WhatsApp 0:35 How to change font style on WhatsApp 1:04 Most popular contacts on WhatsApp 1:36 Muting group chats 2:03 How to make personal information private 2:33 Stop auto-saving 3:07 How to add dates to the calendar 3:35 Add a chat link to your home screen 4:01 How to send a message using Siri 4:28 Back your chat messages 4:53 Send a giant beating heart 5:27 Star the messages 5:49 How to secretly read messages 6:20 How to disable previews 7:03 Find out the exact time someone has read your text 7:33 SUMMARY - Just simply put this ` symbol three times before and after your text message! Like this, ` ` ` Hello!` ` `. - For bold messages, you have to put asterisks before and after your message (*Hello!*). You can send italics messages by adding underscores (_Hello!_). And your message can also be transformed to strikethrough by using tildes (~Hello!~). Plus, you can combine these styles by putting two or even all three symbols together (_~*Hello!*~_). - This works only on iOS devices. You can do that by heading to Settings and then picking Account and Storage Usage. You'll see the list of all your WhatsApp contacts and groups as well as the total number of messages you've sent and received for each one of them! - If there is some group chat or a person that's constantly bothering you with endless messages, you can simply mute it. Just pick the chat, click on its name or the name of the contact on top of the screen and select mute. You'll have an option to mute it for 8 hours, a week or even a year! - Go to Settings, then click Account and select Privacy. Here you can control what users will see your profile picture, status and last time you were seen on WhatsApp. - If you're sick and tired of constantly deleting unnecessary photos that your contacts message you, you can turn the auto-saving off. Again, go to Settings, then select Chats and turn off Save Incoming Media. - If you type a certain date in your message, it will appear as a hyperlink. If you tap on it, you'll be given an option to create an event in your calendar. So you can simply plan some adventures with your friends, work meetings or any other important events right from your WhatsApp. - If you're texting somebody pretty much all day or have a favorite chat that you need quick access to, you can easily add a link to it to your home screen. This works for Android devices. All you need to do is tap and hold on a chat and then click on three vertical dots on the top right of your screen and choose Add Conversation Shortcut. - Just say “Hey, Siri, send a WhatsApp to” and name the contact needed. - If you like to read old messages and get nostalgic from time to time, you can always back your history up on iCloud (for iPhone users) or Google Drive (for Android). If you have an iPhone and you want to back up a certain chat, just click on its name, then on the name of the contact and you'll see an option E-mail conversation. - If you want to express your feelings for someone in a whole other dimension, just send a red heart alone without any other emojis or words. You may think it's nothing much, but amazingly enough, it turns into a big beating heart. - For iOS users, there is a simple solution. Just double tap on a message and select the star icon. - When you receive a message don't open it right away and dismiss all the notifications. Then, set your phone on airline mode that will turn your Wi-Fi or Internet connection off. After that just open your app and read the text. - . WhatsApp thought about that and allowed its users to disable those little previews. To do so, you have to go to Settings, click Notifications and there you'll see the option Disable Show Preview. - Hold on any of your messages you're interested in and choose Info. There you'll see the time your message was sent and also the time it was read. Which one of these features did you like the most? Did you know about some of them? 16 Crazy Things That Are Considered Normal In Other Countries

13:44
Every country has its own laws, traditions, rules, and specific features that might seem strange and even shocking to the people of other cultures. For example, did you know that women in India can marry a tree? And it’s not because they are crazy about nature. Or that in South Korea babies are considered to be one year old at birth? Or that Australia fines its citizens that don’t show up to elections? Our world is amazing and unique and that’s what Bright Side keeps reminding our readers. The following 16 facts confirm this statement. TIMESTAMPS: Some women in India marry trees 0:53 Sundanese people in Indonesia sometimes use banana leaves instead of plates 2:02 There is a cult of live Kumari goddesses in Nepal and it is made up of little girls 2:44 People in Israel build temporary dwellings called sukkahs in order to live there during the celebration of Sukkot 3:41 Newborn babies in South Korea are considered to be one year old 4:23 A metro passes through a block of apartments in China 5:17 Fast food restaurants in the Philippines sell huge portions 5:54 A whole family can fit on one motorcycle in Pakistan 6:32 Egyptians have a completely different concept of traffic rules 7:02 People in Italy arrange battles of oranges 7:35 Residents of Great Britain need to buy a separate TV license for each TV set at home 8:37 There is a church tax in Germany 9:32 People in Australia are fined for not voting 10:29 In Canada, milk is sold in transparent plastic bags 11:07 There are a group of female wrestlers that wear colorful clothes in Bolivia 11:32 There is a special ’instrument of education’ called la chancla that moms in Mexico and other Spanish speaking countries use 12:35 Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY: - After the ceremony, the tree is cut and burned and the woman is then allowed to marry a man. - People from completely different social positions can eat from one leaf: a taxi driver, a governor, an unemployed person, a teacher, the mayor of the city, etc. - People in Nepal believe that the Hindu goddess Taleju has an earthly incarnation in little girls whose bodies she sometimes possesses. - One should spend as much time as possible in a sukkah during the week of celebrations — eat there, rest there, and pray there. If living there is not an option, having meals in a sukkah twice a day is obligatory. - Newborn babies in South Korea and in some other countries are considered one year old. Additionally, it’s believed that a person becomes one year older not on their birthday (though that is celebrated too) but on the first day of the Lunar New Year. - There is an extremely atypical architectural solution that you can see in the Chinese city of Chongqing — the Liziba monorail train station is located inside a residential building. - Don’t get surprised if you see a portion of French fries for 6 people on the McDonald’s menu in the Philippines. - You can drive any way you want in Egypt and it’s unlikely that your driving license will be revoked. Of course, this type of driving creates traffic jams, emergency situations, and many dangers for commuters that are on bikes or walking. - Every year, in February or at the beginning of March, the Carnevale d’Ivrea is held involving the traditional battle of oranges. People throw oranges at each other like snowballs. - Kirchensteuer — is a church tax that is imposed on the parishioners of some religious communities in Germany. Roman Catholic churches, Evangelical churches, a unitary religious society of free Protestants, and Jewish communities are among them. - Australia is one country where people are required to pay a fine for not participating in the election. The fine is not huge, but still, it’s a penalty. - The idea of recruiting a number of simple Bolivian women to participate in wrestling competitions belonged to Juan Mamani, the manager of a team called the Titans of the Ring. Facebook’s founder Mark Zuckerberg explains it by saying that he wants to get rid of all the extra stuff in his life. - Believe it or not, rich people know how to save money. They always know how much money they have. They track their expenses and know how much they earn. - Rich people don’t brag. In everyday life, all of them use public transport, and love walking and riding a bicycle. - Even if a rich person decides to buy a car, they usually don’t buy high-end models to show off. They don’t change cars every year just because they can. - All rich people are early birds and it gives them enough time to do their everyday chores and rituals while still having enough time for family. - Meditation is a great way to relieve the pressure and stress. It has a positive effect on our mood and behavior, helps us to discover new creative ideas, and makes us feel relaxed. It’s also good for your mind and body because you flush out unnecessary clutter. - Millionaires know how to earn people’s trust, convince others and reach success while communicating. Do they smile often? They want to be viewed as reliable, relaxed and sincere. - All wealthy people are used to spending their work time and personal time in productive ways. So they prefer to read a book, take a walk, workout, or communicate with an interesting person. - All rich people say that no matter how much money you lose, you can always earn it again. However, there is no way of getting back wasted time. If you don’t have a clear plan ahead of you, you can’t reach success. How and Why We Read: Crash Course English Literature #1

07:00
In which John Green kicks off the Crash Course Literature mini series with a reasonable set of questions. Why do we read? What's the point of reading critically. John will argue that reading is about effectively communicating with other people. Unlike a direct communication though, the writer has to communicate with a stranger, through time and space, with only "dry dead words on a page." So how's that going to work? Find out with Crash Course Literature! Also, readers are empowered during the open letter, so that's pretty cool. The Reading List! Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare: http://dft.ba/-shakespearerj The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald: http://dft.ba/-fitzgeraldgg Catcher in the Rye: http://dft.ba/-catcher Complete Poems of Emily Dickinson: http://dft.ba/-dickinson Some of these are available from gutenberg.org as free ebooks. 06 Tips To Improve Your English Today! - Free English speaking tips.

08:26
06 Tips To Improve Your English Today! - Free English speaking tips. Stop making excuses about not having enough time to learn English. By making small changes on a daily basis; learning English will become a habit instead of a chore (or headache). You don’t need to spend an hour or two each day to get better at speaking English. Try dedicating 5, 15, or 30 minutes a day to improving your English. If you really commit to practicing English every day you will get better at it. I promise! 1. Change the language on your phone and computer operation system to English. Change the operating language on your phone and computer operation system to English. You can usually change the language under ‘settings’. Though it may be difficult to understand the first few days, you will learn new words in English without even realizing. You could also change the operating system language from your native language to English on your computer, tablet or on any social media site that you use; such as Facebook or Twitter. Again you will learn new vocabulary in English instantly. 2. Read or watch the news in English articles You may already watch or read the news on a daily basis; now try doing it in English. BBC, CNN or Google News. You will continue your “good’ habit of staying informed on what’s happening in the world and improve your English reading and/or listening at the same time. 3. Listen to Music in English and learn the lyrics. Listening to music in English is great but do you struggle to understand all of the words that they are singing? Struggle no longer! You can find the lyrics of many songs on these two websites: A to Z Lyrics Universe, Lyrics.com or you could search for the lyrics on google or your preferred search browser. 4. Write in a journal every day in English Practice writing every day. Practicing English for five or ten minutes a day will help. Write about what you did each day in English or write a story. Don’t have any ideas? Check here –English writing prompts. 5. Speak in English with someone Try to find someone to speak English with; whether it be a friend, family member or colleague from your work. The more you practice talking in English the better you will get at it. It will become more natural for you and you will start to feel less nervous when you have to speak English. 6. Watch children’s cartoons Watching cartoons is a great activity for learning English. You will hear simple English and be able to see illustrations or animation of what they are talking about at the same time. Cartoons are often repetitive so you may hear some things more than once to help you improve you listening comprehension. So, are you ready to stop making excuses and do something? Good! What action will you take today to learn English? Leave a message in the comments and let us know.

After documenting and researching over 50,000 coaching interactions in the workplace, Bill Eckstrom shares life-altering, personal and professional development ideas through the introduction of the “Growth Rings.” The rings illustrate how dangerous it can be to remain in a state of comfort and how being in discomfort is the only way to sustain growth. You’ll be amazed at the world-changing outcomes discomfort can have on your life and the lives of others. Bill Eckstrom is an entrepreneur, author, speaker, outdoorsman and father of three. With a passion deeply rooted in growth and development, Bill has always been fascinated by the role a coach has on the performance of individuals and teams. As a result, he founded the EcSell Institute whose sole focus is to educate, track and measure coaching effectiveness for leaders within organizations around the world. This has led to hundreds of keynotes, published articles and e-books created from the research and documentation of coaching interactions and outcomes. 7 Riddles That Will Test Your Brain Power

08:11
These 7 puzzles will trick your brain. Take this fun test to check the sharpness and productivity of your brain. Try to answer these questions as quickly as possible and see the results! Our brain is a mysterious thing. We know more about stars than about the things inside our heads! But what we do know about the brain is that it gets less sharp and productive with age. You have a maximum of 20 seconds for each task, but try to answer the questions as fast as possible. TIMESTAMPS What is the mistake two photos have in common? 0:45 How many holes does the T-shirt have? 1:53 How would you name this tree? 2:40 Can you solve this riddle one in 5 seconds? 3:21 Do you see a hidden baby? 4:26 Which line is longer? 5:12 Can you spot Mike Wazowski? 6:30 SUMMARY If it took you more than 20 seconds to answer each question, or you didn't manage all the tasks, it means that you have the brain of a mature person. It 's hard for you to make your mind see beyond the obvious and you can't handle change easily. If took you less than 20 seconds, your brain is quite young, and you can approach tasks from different angles. If you answered each question correctly in less than 5 seconds, your brain is very young and flexible! You can notice the tiniest details right away and adapt to new situations easily! What is your result? Tell us in the comment section below! Subscribe to our new channel 'SLICK SLIME SAM' - https://goo.gl/zarVZo Give a thumbs–up to see more adventures!
