My Best Marketing Strategies for [2018] | Creative Growth Plans for Business

04:53
Want to know my marketing strategy for 2018? ►►Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: https://goo.gl/ScRTwc Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog 2018 is going to be an exciting year. The analysis on how much money we're spending to generate the traffic and here's what's crazy, most people don't realize this, we generate, let's say a million visitors a month on Neil Patel. Do you know what the cost to get there is with video, production, podcasting, blogging, promotion, ads, link building? $110,000 a month. That's what it averaged out to for 2017. Here are my marketing strategies for 2018. I just bought a blog in the marketing space for a half a million bucks. They get a million visitors a month, and it's cheaper to spend money acquiring people who already have the traffic. So in 2017, I bought Uber Suggest, I think it was around 140 grand. They had very little traffic. I 381 redirected the site, traffic increased and guess what happened? Nothing. I hoped that my traffic would go through the roof, but nothing happened. Uber Suggest was a good acquisition and what I ended up learning from that is, who cares about links? Don't buy anything for the links. Buy it purely based off of traffic and just pay a simple metric. If Uber Suggest has roughly 200,000 visitors per month, I paid a hundred and something; I would have paid 200 grand, the money didn't matter. For a blog that I just spent half a million on, their traffic ranges. On a horrible month, they'll get around 800,000 uniques. In a perfect month, they'll get around, like, 1.2, 1.3 million uniques, and all I'm doing right now is buying as many blogs as possible. My marketing strategy for 2018 is to buy blogs based on of traffic. I look at the top posts that they have and how qualified their visitors are and determine if I can successfully monetize their content. I don't even care if they have revenue. If they don't have revenue, even better. The problem with Search Engine Journal is that they have conferences, they have advertising, and they have contracts for all of it. I don't care for any of that. I just want the traffic. So when you buy all these people for traffic and then you put it into your monetization flow, you can quickly figure out, what is this worth? If I can't make my money back in less than 12 months, I will not buy it. The other marketing strategy that I use when I'm buying these sites is to look for blogs that aren't monetized well. The blog that I ended up buying for half a million bucks, they're not even making three grand a month. If you're not even making three grand a month, that's a good deal, right? They're like; you're going to give me half a million dollars for this? No problem. Another creative marketing strategy I'm doing right now, is trying to buy a really popular marketing tool. I don't want to pay them all the money they're asking for because they want well into the millions, and it isn't worth it. But, I'm trying to work out a deal where I give them X amount of money up front, let's say a million dollars, and then give them a hundred thousand a month over X amount of months or a hundred thousand a year over X amount of years. When I see inefficiencies in sites, I figure I can purchase them and double the revenue because they aren't optimized for traffic or conversions. So buy it for what it's worth, optimize it, and then use the profits to pay them out continually. That way you're not using all of your money and the business is paying, you may have spent a bit more money, but personally, you don't have to spend as much money, and that's my marketing strategy for 2018. My goal is to spend at least $5 million acquiring businesses purely based on their traffic. If you need help or have questions about online or digital marketing or of you're a small business looking for help, leave a comment or question below and I'll personally answer and help you in any way I can!

The 4 Business Growth Strategies

02:38
The 4 Business Growth Strategies To learn more, visit my website at http://www.antheahorvat.com/ So in this video, I want to share with you the four different business growth strategies you can choose to implement in your business. We call it the Ansoff model. So basically the choices for you are, if you want to grow your business, are you going to find more Betty and Bobs in order to sell your product or service to? We call this a market penetration strategy. The second choice that you have is a market development strategy. This is where you take your product or service and whoever you’re selling it to right now, you go and develop new markets in order to sell your products and services. Now, those markets could be new niches for you to go into, or they could be new geographical areas for you to move into. It doesn’t matter. We call that a market development strategy. The third option, the one that most of my entrepreneur clients like to pursue, is the product development strategy. Product development strategy involves developing new products and services for you to sell to clients that you already have. And the final one we call diversification. That’s a lot like starting a new business. It’s where you develop new products and services for new markets. So, which one should you choose for your business? I say to my clients, why don’t you think in a three-month block because three months right now is a really long time, and why don’t you focus on just one of those strategies? That’s right, just one of those strategies. Which one should you choose? Well, the place to start is to do a swat analysis on your business. Go through your strengths. Go through your weaknesses, then the things internal, the things that you can change in your business, the things that you do well, and the places in your business where you have little hold, the things that you don’t do quite so well. Go through your strengths and weaknesses. You want to have great clarity about your strengths in particular. The second thing you need to do is look outside of your business. Look at what’s happening in the world. Look at what’s happening in your marketplace. Look at what’s happening with your competitors. And look for opportunities. You want to match your strengths to the greatest opportunities available to you, and then pick which of those strategies is going to work best for you, and then focus. Focus, focus, focus! I know you’re an entrepreneur. I know you like to create, but I also know that you like to have money in the bank account. So the key to you is to pick the strategy that’s going to work the fastest for you. It might not be the most exciting right now, but it’s going to be the most profitable. So, choose your strategy and focus for the next three months. Steve Jobs' amazing marketing strategy - MUST WATCH

This is a very complicated world. It’s a very noisy world. And we’re not going to get a chance to get people to remember much about us. No company is! And so, we have to be really clear on what we want them to know about us. Now Apple, fortunately, is one of half-a-dozen best brands in the whole world. Right up there with Nike, Disney, Coke, Sony — it is one of the greats of the greats. Not just in this country, but all around the globe. But even a great brand needs investment and caring if it’s going to retain its relevance and vitality. And the Apple brand has clearly suffered from neglect in this area in the last few years. And we need to bring it back! The way to do that is NOT to talk about speeds and fees. It’s NOT to talk about bits and mega-hertz. It’s NOT to talk about why we are better than Windows. The dairy industry tried for 20 years to convince you that milk was good for you. It’s a lie, but they tried anyway. And the sales were falling. And then they tried “Got milk” and the sales went up. “Got milk” wasn’t even talking about the product. In fact, it focuses on the absence of the product. But the best example of all, and one of the greatest jobs of marketing that the universe has ever seen, is Nike. Remember, Nike sells a commodity. They sell shoes!!! And yet, when you think of Nike you feel something different than a shoe company. In their ads, as you know, they don’t ever talk about the product. They don’t ever tell you about their air soles and why they are better than Reebok’s air soles. What does Nike do in their advertising? They honor great athletes. And they honor great athletics. That’s who they are, that’s what they are about! Apple spends a fortune on advertising — you’d never know it….you’d never know it! So…when I got here, Apple just fired their agency and there was a competition with 23 agencies that…you know…four years from now we would pick one. And we blew that up and we hired Chiat\Day, the ad agency that I was fortunate enough to work with years ago and created some award winning work including the commercial voted the best ad ever made, 1984 (by Advertising Professionals). And…we started working about eight weeks ago, and the question we asked was, “Our customers want to know who is Apple and what is it that we stand for…where do we fit in this world?” And what we’re about isn’t making boxes for people to get their jobs done — although we do that well. We do that better than almost anybody, in some cases. But Apple is about something more than that! Apple at the core…its core value — is that, we believe that people with passion can change the world for the better. That’s what we believe! And we have had the opportunity to work with people like that. We’ve had the opportunity to work with people like you; with software developers, with customers, who have done it. In some big, and some small ways. And we believe that, in this world, people can change it for the better. And that those people who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world are the ones that actually do! And so, what we’re going to do in our first brand marketing campaign in several years, is to get back to that core value! A lot of things have changed. The market is in a total different place than where it was a decade ago. And Apple is totally different — and Apple’s place in it is totally different. And believe me, the products, and the distribution strategy, and the manufacturing are totally different…and we understand that. But values and core values — those things shouldn’t change. The things that Apple believed in at its core, are the same things Apple really stands for today. Go-to-market strategy examples

16:01
We’ll give you three examples to best build a go-to-market strategy that will help you make money and drive long-term growth. Get a free trial of our new sales and marketing planning software at: http://register.funnelplan.com/ -------------- The right strategy doesn't depend on your product, but your buyers. Let's take a look at the companies, their buyers, and their strategy. At the end I'll give you a model for working this out for yourself. Desktop Computers For my first example, let's take a company that wants to own the desktop computing market. Firstly, come up with something that's truly amazing and different, clever, unique. Take that to as broad a market as you possibly can, and this is what the company I'm about to talk about did. Take it to as broad a market as you possibly can. Find out from that early market experience what group of buyers are likely to be a good market for you to focus on in the future. Start very broadly, selling very widely. Find the pattern and then find a niche that you think might be worth dominating, and then completely change the strategy and focus just on that. Leader in an enterprise software category For my second go to market strategy example, I'm going to pick an established player in an established market. Very different story. This established player in an established market had done such a good job of riding the enterprise applications market, that they were near dominant in that space. That's good news, but it's also bad news. The bad news is that pretty much all of the market, the enterprise market, had already bought either from this company, or from one of their competitors. Whilst they enjoyed the lion's share of the market, the market was pretty much drying up. Everybody had bought a product like this from either them or from their competitor. Challenger in enterprise software For my third go to market strategy example, again I'll stick to a mature market, but this time the company's not the gorilla. In fact, they're probably fourth on a good day. Maybe less, maybe fifth or sixth in the market. It's a big market, and they've done well, they've profited, and they've used those profits to continue to invest in sales and marketing as well as R&D. The problem is that as the market started to decline, their fortunes declined. They'll continue to invest, but they're investing in order to grow their share in a market that was pretty much consolidating. Now we're losing money hand over fist. What's the right strategy then? Developing a Sales and Marketing Strategy Plan

20:39
Developing a Sales and Marketing Strategy Plan Buy my book today! http://bit.ly/bestbrandingbook Contact me: http://www.edwindearborn.com/contact/ Connect with me on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/edwindearborn/ When developing and sales and marketing strategy/plan there are two types of sales approaches. One is the mindset of the hunter and the other is that of the farmer. The Hunter. The mindset of the hunter is to “Track, Kill & Move On.” Hunters are quick, restless and nomadic. The rapidly assess opportunities and discover rapid solutions to generate sustenance. In sales and marketing this would involve outbound phone calls, networking, and generally canvassing one’s territory for relatively immediate sales.  The Farmer. The mindset and habits of a farmer is to stay in a one location, large or small, and to cultivate over a longer period of time. Farmers are very attune to the weather, the soil and many other factors, any of which could aversely affect his crops in the upcoming months or even years. When times get tough, they have a hard time moving on to new lands like the hunter. But their advantage is that they can feed hundreds of people for months and months when they do their job right and consistently. When developing a complete sales and marketing strategy plan it is important to factor in both types of personalities and tactics. One needs the hunters to find and bring home immediate sales. But it is also important that you have farmers who are tending to those who require nurturing. By doing so, future “crops” of leads will bear fruit.  The Biggest Mistake The biggest mistake that any small business, start-up or corporation could make it to believe that all you need are more hunters to get in more sales. And likewise, one could pendulum swing and concentrate so much on nurturing that no immediate sales are generated, thus causing financial hardship for the enterprise.  It is important to have both a Hunter and a Farmer strategy for your sales and marketing plan.  Please subscribe to my YouTube channel.

Setting Marketing Objectives (1)-www.MarketingPlanNOW.com

07:46
This first video, out of three, launches the second chapter of a marketing plan: Setting Marketing Objectives. The video demonstrates how to draw marketing objectives based on the previous chapter: Analyzing the Current Situation. You are closely guided in order to be able to "translate" the collected data and its analysis (Chpater 1 of a marketing plan) into concise marketing objectives (Chapter 2 of a marketing plan). Before setting marketing objectives for the upcoming year, marketing strategy is required. In this video ANSOFF Matrix is being used, "translating" the macro environmental analysis, market analysis and competitive analysis into one or few marketing strategies: Penetration Strategy, Product Development Strategy, Market Development Strategy and Diversification Strategy when a new product will attract new demand - new markets. The second video; Setting Marketing Objectives (2), concludes ANSOFF matrix and demonstrates how to set the following objectives: - Desired market segmentation - Desired Marketing-mix - Marketing objectives as a result of the SWOT Analysis by using TOWS analysis The third video; Setting Marketing Objectives (3), demonstrates how to set the following objectives: - Marketing objectives as a result of realizing the perceptual gaps; positioning versus position - Quantitative objectives: setting a yearly sales forecast

What is MARKET PENETRATION? What does MARKET PENETRATION mean? MARKET PENETRATION meaning

What is MARKET PENETRATION? What does MARKET PENETRATION mean? MARKET PENETRATION meaning - MARKET PENETRATION definition - MARKET PENETRATION explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. SUBSCRIBE to our Google Earth flights channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6UuCPh7GrXznZi0Hz2YQnQ Market penetration refers to the successful selling of a product or service in a specific market, and it is measured by the amount of sales volume of an existing good or service compared to the total target market for that product or service. Market penetration is the key performance metric for a business growth strategy stemming from the Ansoff Matrix (Richardson, M., & Evans, C. (2007). H. Igor Ansoff first devised and published The Ansoff Matrix in the Harvard Business Review in 1957, within an article titled "Strategies for Diversification". The grid/matrix is utilized across businesses to help evaluate and determine the next stages the company must take in order to grow, and the risks associated with the chosen strategy. With numerous options available, this matrix helps narrow down the best fit for your organization. This strategy involves selling current products or services into the existing market in order to obtain a higher market share. This could involve persuading current customers to buy more and new customers to start buying or even converting customers from their competitors. This could be implemented using methods such as competitive pricing, increase in marketing communications or utilizing reward systems such as loyalty points/discounts. New Strategies involve utilizing pathways and finding new ways to improve profits, increase sales and productivity, in order to stay relevant and competitive in the long run. Market penetration, although it can be performed throughout the business's life, it can be especially helpful in the primary stages of set up. It helps establish the businesses current station and which direction it needs to expand in to achieve market growth. Successful outcomes stem from careful monitoring by key staff and leaders. Timing is key to a successful market growth; this can be dependent on the overall market welfare, the business's competitors and current events. Questions, brainstorming and discussions can help distinguish whether it is the best time for market growth. These can include questions surrounding market share increases or decreases. Sales can be declining but shows opportunity for the business, it could be the perfect time to make alterations so as to grow market share. Market penetration can also be helpful when sales are proving to slow down, customers often need to be re-introduced to a company or reminded why they need your company's goods/services. With the consumers attention span becoming less and less, organizations need to constantly keep on top of competitors to stay relevant. Some factors of market penetration are holding costs, advanced inventory management practices and technology (e.g. ongoing replenishment and vendor managed inventory), supply chain problems and economies of scale (e.g., Chang and Lee 1995, Chen et al. 2005, Gaur and Kesavan 2005, Gaur et al. 2005, Hendricks and Singhal 2005, Huson and Nanda 1995, Lieberman et al. 1996). Market penetration, market development, and product development together establish market growth for a company. Overall the major growth opportunities they implement, attempts to peak sales through stressing current products in present markets and present products in new markets. This includes developing new products for existing markets, subsequently. It is about finding new ways to boost sales and keep customers loyal and increase market share. When implementing change companies must be careful not to compromise their existing revenue or customers. ...

Marketing Strategy Case Studies: The Starbucks Experience

02:56
http://www.tvchoice.uk.com - 27 mins, 2015 Key Topics Marketing Strategy Retailing Corporate Social Responsibility Globalisation Starbucks is the essential success story of the American capitalist dream. From humble beginnings in 1971 as a Seattle coffee store, it’s become a multinational with over 21,000 outlets in 63 countries. Its brand is universally known. HOW DID THEY DO IT? Starbucks’ success owes a lot to the vision of its guiding light, CEO Howard Schultz, who preaches an almost evangelical brand of caring capitalism, at the same time focusing relentlessly on the customer experience. Acquisition, brand-stretching, social media, and new channel development have all played a part. They put a lot of stress on caring for their staff and the in-store atmosphere. They want customers to feel it’s “their Starbucks”. GOOD CITIZEN? CEO Howard Schultz talks about creating “a philosophically different business” but is it really? Critics point to low pay and scheduling pressures for staff, tax avoidance and, above all, the pittance developing world farmers receive for the coffee beans. Diversification (marketing strategy)

09:08
Diversification is a corporate strategy to enter into a new market or industry which the business is not currently in, whilst also creating a new product for that new market.
