SEO Keyword Competition Tool: Lazy Way to Determine Keyword Competition

09:44
How do you determine competition for keyword rankings on Google? I get asked this question at least twice a day, so I figured it's high time to create a video tutorial showing how to do it. In this video, I show you how to use the free MozBar tool and Google Chrome to determine keyword competition on Google. Finding out the competition of search rankings has always been an annoying part of the process. Tools come and go. A lot of them cost insane amounts of money. With the free version of MozBar, you're able to get a basic read out on overall search competition for each result in the search engine rankings. Simply install the toolbar, and watch it work it's magic. Finding keyword competition has never been this easy. Legal Disclaimer: This video is intellectual property of Deadbeat Inc. This video will cover local competitive analysis and what to do afterwards. Rank Higher than Your Competitors on Google 2018 - Join me for a free webinar on how to Research and Beat Other Business in your Niche on Google and Bing through proven techniques This webinar will focus on checking on your competition online - see who is beating you on Google and Bing in rankings, as well as other local search functions like Google Maps. Then we will go on how you can target them to create a better online profile that will beat them in search. Outside Tools: If you are just starting out doing competitive analysis and are at the local level, I would recommend using Google's Keyword Planning tool to get a good idea of Keywords, then using a Private Mode/ Incognito mode on your browser and just Googling different search results and see who pops up and where you rank. Then you can start to use more in depth tools. More in depth tools: To identify competitors: Alexa Top Sites, SimilarWeb Websites Ranking & Sites Profile. To identify keywords: SEMRush for keyword data, SuggestMrx (you can also use Ubersuggest or SEOchat Suggestion Keyword Finder) to gather Google suggestions for your keywords. To identify rankings: Authority labs, Positionly, Advanced Web Ranking, among others. To identify popularity: The Moz SEO Toolbar SERP overlay view, OpenSiteExplorer, CognitiveSEO Backlink Explorer and MajesticSEO for link related data and easy to develop popularity analysis. To identify page optimization: Moz On-Page Grader, SEOchat's Page Comparison tool and Web page SEO analysis tool for a quick on page content optimization analysis. To semi-automatize the process: There are tools that have already automatized some of the phases in the process that can help you to advance faster: Moz Keyword Difficulty and SERPs analysis tool, SERPIQ, SEMRush Keyword Difficulty Tool. How To Use Google Trends, 2018 Update! Market Research To Compare Keywords, Topics & Niches, Fast!

24:29
How to use Google Trends for internet marketers... The 2018 edition! Learn how to leverage Google's data to compare trends in keywords, niches and topic ideas in seconds. Use Google Trends for your market research to get a competitive edge on your competition, every time! Google trends was officially launched in May of 2006 and has become one of the world's most powerful niche and market research tool available free to you, every day! Whether you are trying to compare keyword search volume over time, or identifying which niches are currently trending to focus your marketing efforts, with a few clicks of the mouse you will be able to visually identify what is trending in the mindset of your target audience. If you want more help with keyword research and how to create your master keyword list, watch this video next: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eofkzs0fVOA Why is it important to know what is trending in the mass consciousness of your target market? Easy... People turn to Google's search bar for their deepest and most urgent questions. The questions they search and the phrases they use to create a massive dataset that begins to paint a picture of the biggest desires within your audience. Once you understand what the trending desires and questions are within your target market, you are able to create niche websites, articles, videos, podcast episodes, products and services to help your audience achieve their true desires. You see, desire is not created within your audience... Their desires are already there. Your job as an internet marketer is to tap into their desires, answer their questions, help them avoid their fears and ultimately achieve their goals and desires. When you are able to see what questions, desires and fears are trending, in nearly real-time, you have a very clear picture of what content and products are being requested by your audience. The Google Trends tool is the key to unlock this mystery behind your audience's deepest desires! This video shows you how to use Google Trends in 2018, quickly and efficiently so you can get the information you need, fast... And so you can get back to the 'work' that is creating the content or products. We start by looking at how to use Google Trends as a niche research tool, starting with the 'Vegan Dog Food' niche example I've used in several other videos. If you are at this point, working on niche research, trying to find your main niche, be sure to check out my playlist on niche research that shows how to use other tools to do even more niche research: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AIZxKpnesTw&list=PL0sOKzn__yK3bPvVRts4CXOtPciYcu7iZ From here we move on to some big trending topics around Bitcoin and Ethereum looking at how the search volumes even track the price of these coins, to show how deep the Google Trends data truly goes. From here you will learn how to get additional topic ideas and keyword ideas from the Trends tool, too. The third example is how to identify seasonal trends, patterns and potential challenges for niches that have very seasonal buying seasons. Before entering a niche you need to know if it is consistent throughout the year or if it has low points through the year. If there are low points, all is not lost... You will see how to find counter-seasonal topics or products to fill in your low season through this tool! Finally, we look at trends in diet patterns, from the New Year's bump to the long-term patterns in lifestyle diets vs. diet fads. This gives a clear picture of what kinds of products people would purchase and what times of years would have the best chance to sell those products. If you have a list in the health and wellness space, you could leverage this information to know exactly what day each year would be the most profitable to launch a specific product offer, whether it is your product or an affiliate offer. Again, I believe it is through more effective and consistent market research that you unlock the opportunity to be more strategic than your competitors. Most people don't take the time to do the research... If you habituate the process of learning how to use Google Trends and the keyword research tool, you will find yourself gaining rankings in your blog, your YouTube channel and you will experience more conversions. My other favorite research process for niche research and content marketing is keyword research. You can get my full keyword research video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_FfdjNOgpQ Once you have the keywords and have created your content, you need to know how to implement those phrases into your content marketing... This free SEO course shows exactly what to do, where and why! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8EI6JaFbv4 How To Use Google Trends, 2018 Update! How to analyze Google SERP and competitors

02:19
We’re going to take a look at Google SERP competitor analysis with more than 45 SEO metrics and a lot of useful features. Let’s start with a keyword we want to analyze. We’ll select our desired location and the type of the results we want to see: desktop or mobile. Besides the common organic search results, we started implementing the SERP features detection, such as top stories, people also ask, featured snippets, answer boxes and many others. All values are colored so we easily identify what’s behind the numbers. Green means low and red is high. The first column shows the organic position, the visibility above the page fold and the CTR influenced by the position itself. Keep in mind the CTR may be affected by the appearance of SERP features. The LPS (Link Profile Strength) represents how hard is to compete with a website on a particular position. Once we’re done with the analysis, we can export the results as a CSV file with selected or all metrics for clients or for the future. Go ahead and try it yourself. 5 Powerful SEO Keyword Research Tips to Rank on Google in 2018

06:32
It's not 2010 anymore. Keyword research and SEO isn't as easy as it used to be. So what should you do? ►►Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: https://goo.gl/ScRTwc Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog I'm going to share with you how to do keyword research in today's world of Google. It's way more difficult to rank on Google today than it was back in the day. Keyword Research Tip #1: Pick a niche. Everyone's talking about going after big terms like auto insurance, SEO, credit cards. Yes, you can eventually get there, but it takes six months to see traction with Google these days, 12 months to start seeing your traffic go up, and two years to be crushing it on Google. You want to go after and pick small niches. Keyword Research Tip #2: Pick buzzwords that are trending. Technology is moving so fast these days that things are continually changing. Whether it's cryptocurrencies or whether it's new products that are coming out like the iPhone 100. Go after new, upcoming words. You can find them using Google Trends. Google Trends breaks down what's hot and what's up and coming. You want to go after these keyword terms because they're not that competitive yet. When you create content around new and trendy keywords, you're gonna skyrocket to the top way faster than if you went after old terms like "credit cards." Keyword Research Tip #3: Use Ubersuggest to find keywords. These days people just don't type in keywords like "dog food." They'll type in keywords like "what dog food is best for my animal" or "what dog food is great to make my dog lose weight." These are really popular terms. Ubersuggest will show you different variations of your primary keyword, and it'll even show you how competitive they are, how much search volume you're going to get, and how many people are going to click on your listing if you rank number one, two, or number 10. Keyword Research Tip #4: Use Quora. Type in keywords related to your industry, and you're going to see the most popular questions people are asking. When you start seeing the most popular questions, you'll know what kind of content to create that's related to your space. By creating answers on your blog that are more thorough, more detailed, you're not only going to rank for it, but you're going to rank higher because you can create way more detailed responses than Quora itself. Keyword Research Tip #5: Focus on a theme. If you're going after credit cards, you want to have a website all about credit cards, like Credit Karma. Or you want to have a site all about marketing and SEO like me on NeilPatel.com. If you want to get long tail traffic, what you need to do is create detailed content about specific individual topics. When I say detailed topics, I'm NOT talking about "how to start an e-commerce site: I'm talking about "how to start an e-commerce site with Shopify." You see how much more specific that is? You can create another article on how to create an e-commerce site using Magento. By getting very specific you can have a 10,000-word blog post and everything about setting it up with Shopify or Magento, you're going to dominate. By being specific, anyone who's interested in that topic and even potentially interested in hiring consultants or buying products or plugins or whatever you're selling related to that topic, they're going to land on your website. When Google releases an update, they're going to rank the most thorough website. That's why Wikipedia does well. It's not just because they have a lot of links or brand queries. It's because Wikipedia has some of the most detailed articles on the web. That's what you need to do with your content. Create pages that are super thorough and detailed are high in quality. When you do that, you'll notice that you'll start ranking for all the keywords related to your industry. That's how you do keyword research in today's world. If you're still struggling to figure out what keywords to go after or how to do keyword research in today's Google world, leave a comment below, and I'll help you out. Please subscribe, like, fan, share this video, tell other people about it. I would appreciate it.

Competitive Analysis Q Tech Flooring

15:26
http://apiomedia.com/ #1 Google Keyword Search Law: When potential customers search the keywords for your type of business and your company DOES NOT show up on Page One of the SERP (Search Engine Ranking Page), THEY WILL NOT FIND YOU! Most people rarely search on Page 2 and beyond. But people will find your competition on Page One, they will contact them and your competitors will get that lead and potentially acquire that new customer's business. In this video we do a competitive Google keyword analysis for Q Tech Flooring, an Atlanta, GA based epoxy flooring company. We use a tool called Semrush to show what keywords Q Tech Flooring is showing up for when searching them on Google, where they rank for each at present, and the monthly search volume. Then we do a live Google search for their keywords to verify that they are not showing up on Page One on the SERP (Search Engine Ranking Page). Next we show an Semrush keyword search which identifies 50 related keywords for "flooring companies in atlanta". The extensive list shows a total monthly volume search well over 2 thousand searches according to Google. Essentially that means there are potentially 2,000+ people looking for a flooring company just like Q Tech but since Q Tech is not showing up for any of those keywords that are missing out on thousands of $$$ in new client business. At the end of this video we include a recommendation for Q Tech Flooring for a Google AdWords Campaign, a Local Google Maps ranking enhancement campaign and estimated campaign cost. How to do Competitive Analysis and Authority Marketing With SEMrush (Webinar)

01:01:22
Once you’ve built up enough demand through authority marketing, people will just Google your name and you’re done! But on the road to that destination, you’re going to need other strategies to attract an audience that wants what you offer, but aren’t specifically looking for you (at least not yet!). SEMrush is one of the most popular platforms for doing SEO and PPC research, especially when it comes to analyzing your competition. In this webinar with guest Martin Weinberg of SEMRush, we share specific strategies to find those profitable pockets of opportunity where there is higher demand and lower competition for your area of expertise.

7 Free Tools to Rank #1 in Google | SEO Optimization Techniques to Skyrocket Your Rankings

05:07
You want to rank number one in Google. How do you do it?►►Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: https://goo.gl/ScRTwc Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog Most people say you need to build links. Most people say you need to do on page SEO. But where do you start? Hey everyone, I'm Neil Patel, and today I'm going to share seven free tools that will help you rank number one on Google. Tip #1: Quick Sprout Analyzer. Quick Sprout's a free tool, go to quicksprout.com, put in your URL, it's a gamified SEO application, and it'll break down the problems, and will walk you through how to fix them step by step. If you're not putting in the right keywords in your title tag or your description or your alt image tags, Quick Sprout will tell you, and Quick Sprout can publish them all for you. This will help with SEO optimization and google ranking. #2: Yoast SEO plugin. It's one of my favorite tools. With the Yoast SEO plugin, every time you publish a blog post, it'll give you a score and tell you, hey, here's how you can optimize every single one of your blog posts to get the maximum amount of traffic. #3: Google Search Console. With Google Search Console every time you publish a new blog post or a page, you have an XML site map. The XML site map is created by the Yoast Plugin which you then submit to Search Console. Search Console shows you how many impressions you're getting, how many clicks you're getting, which pages are popular, and it even shows you which keywords are getting a lot of impressions for, but not a lot of clicks. You can then go and optimize your content by adding those keywords in, adjusting your title tag, your meta description to include those keywords, and maximize your click-through rate and boost your google ranking. #4: Google Trends. Google Trends shows you brand queries. That way you'll know which brands are more popular and what people are searching for. Take the car industry for example. There's General Motors, and BMW. They both have millions of dollars to spend on SEO. They both have millions of back links. How does Google know which to rank higher? One of the factors within Google is brand queries and Google Trends will show you that BMW is searched far more than General Motors. So what's Google going to do? They're going to rank the more popular car manufacturer ahead of the other. #5: websiteresponsivetest.com More people are using Google on their mobile or tablet devices than they are on their desktop or laptops. You want to make sure your website is responsive, and people on mobile devices can load your website extremely fast, and using this free tool, it'll show you how other websites and mobile visitors are seeing your website. #6: Screaming Frog. Screaming Frog is a super technical SEO optimization tool. You put in a URL, and it shows you every little thing that's wrong, from titles to headings to keywords to links. It analyzes every little thing from the super advanced technical framework. #7: Google PageSpeed Insights. Google PageSpeed Insights shows how fast your website loads and if it loads slow, that's okay. They break down a list that shows what you need to improve both for desktop devices and mobile devices, so that way your website can load extremely fast. Make sure your website loads extremely fast. Check out those tools, they work really well, and will help you rank #1 in google. If you want more tools and tips like this, make sure you subscribe to this channel, because I'm going to be releasing more videos soon, that cover more SEO optimization tools that can help boost your Google rankings as well as tips so that way you can climb faster to the top. And if you need help with online or digital marketing leave a question or comment below and I'll be sure to answer!
