How to Avoid Bad Trades by using Volume Analysis as a Filter

08:13
Filtering Out Bad Trades with Volume. http://www.financial-spread-betting.com/strategies/day-traders.html PLEASE LIKE AND SHARE THIS VIDEO SO WE CAN DO MORE! In the last lesson, we looked at filtering out bad trades and how that can help improve overall performance. Specifically in the last lesson we were looking at the range indicator, on the basis that we want to trade on financial securities that are volatile and to skip trading on securities that are not providing much movement. Another way to determine whether the financial security’s worth trading on is to look at the amount of volume being traded. Again, we are using this as an indication that there is some action going on, and general market interest in the product. We take the view that a stock or index which is not arousing much interest in the markets will not give us much action in the price. As an example, when you are day trading it can pay to look at the first 15 minutes of the trading day. Straightaway this will give you an indication of other traders’ involvement in the market, and allow you to see if it is worth taking time to study and trade on the security. You may have no idea what a typical trading volume looks like for the stock, but it is easy to scroll back in the chart and look at other opening hours to see what is normal. We would like to see the volume hitting similar or higher levels. When we looking for a stock to trade, in order to get some involvement we would pay particular interest around the time of the earnings announcements, when there is some news involved in the product, and also of course when there are gaps in the chart. All these actions tend to promote interest and activity in the price. Looking at volumes of transactions can also show you if there is interest, even outside these times. And on the other hand, if there is barely a ripple in volume in the wake of an earnings announcement, it shows you that the stock is not worth trading on anyway at this time. So we can set a filter on our chart to determine when we want to start following it. As a guide, you might want to say that if the current trading volume is less than half of recent maximum volume then the market has little interest in it, and it will be as well to look for another security to trade today. As with the previous lesson, we are simply trying to filter out stocks and securities which don’t appear to be having much activity and in which there is little interest. There are many stocks and securities in many markets that you can trade on. Novices often ask where they should start. It can seem overwhelming. But if you can start applying filters to the favourite markets, then you can focus down on the ones which will be worthwhile for you to trade. There are several other ways that you can filter out bad trades, which will be explained in the coming lessons.

An analysis of 'Saturday Night Fever', widely considered as the best Disco movie ever!

11:41
An analysis of 'Saturday Night Fever', widely considered as the best Disco movie ever! Saturday Night Fever is a 1977 American dance drama starring John Travolta in the film’s leading role as Tony Manero, a young Italian American who uses his dancing talents at a local discotheque to find the acceptance and appreciation he doesn’t get from his parents who are unsupportive and dysfunctional. The film is based on British writer Nik Cohn’s 1976 New York fictional magazine article entitled “Tribal Rights of the New Saturday Night.” The story focuses on the nightlife of the American working class subculture that provided the basis of the movie. The film also stars Donna Pescow and newcomer Karen Lynn Gorney as Travolta’s love interest. Saturday Night Fever was the 1st successful example of cross-media marketing using the film’s title track Night Fever by the BeeGees to promote the film prior to release and the film, later, popularizing the soundtrack which became the all-time musical soundtrack until 1992’s “The Bodyguard” featuring Whitney Houston. In this video, I will analyze key scenes and themes from the film. Thanks for watching and don’t forget to leave a like and a comment at the end. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIgQjYndVeTh3WO0Fl9Kf1I4uStn5VNCg

Qik = Ak*fik*Pk*Wi STAAD utilizes the following procedure to generate the lateral seismic loads. 1. User provides the value for Z/2*I/R as factors for input spectrum 2. Program calculates time periods for first six modes or as specified by the user. 3. Program calculates Sa/g for each mode utilizing time period and damping for each mode. 4. The program calculates design horizontal acceleration spectrum Ak for different modes. 5. The program then calculates mode participation factor for different modes. 6. The peak lateral seismic force at each floor in each mode is calculated. 7. All response quantities for each mode are calculated. 8. The peak response quantities are then combined as per method (CQC or SRSS or ABS or TEN or CSM) as defined by the user to get the final results. Soft Storey Checking For details on the Soft Storey Checking option, see the chapter detailed in Section 5.31.2.5 Definition of Lateral Seismic Load per Indian IS:1893 (Part 1) -- 2002 Code.

Trust me, it's really good. Most games nowadays fail to realise the potential of the medium to tell stories through interaction. Whilst they may not necessarily benefit from being a movie, a book or TV show, you could envision their stories being told that way. Yoko Taro's recent release NieR:Automata, however, utilises every aspect of games to such an extent that its incredibly powerful story could not be told through another medium. In this episode of Writing on Games, I attempt to break down why that is by analysing the story in detail, ending spoilers and all. --- Took footage for one cutscene from Boss Fight Database due to my capture card freaking out. In this video , I explain how to read an annual report and how to analyse a company's business model. I use Tata Motors as an example to explain the low margins of the auto industry but I also explain the other extreme which is Ferrari with a totally opposite business model. Another example I used is Care ratings to show their amazing margins as the business barely has expenditure. I finish the video with the explanation of market outlook and how you can estimate the growth of the company depending on it's market share as that will help you calculate future returns. It's FINALS OR BUST For Toronto Raptors & THIS IS WHY

04:06
It’s obvious that Toronto Raptors got the good old healthy Kawhi Leonard. Unstoppable on the drive whenever he decides to go. Try to take away that, he’s just going to bump you and step back before draining the shot. Yup he seems very comfortable doing that. Back off of him a little, and he’s gonna hit you with the pull up. So how do you stop him. Apparently you can’t, as the Raptors are currently 10 and 1 in what could be a finals or bust year for them. What up everybody my name is Stefan and this is Heat Check. Let me explain the Toronto Raptors success and their sense of urgency this season. They had the second best defense last year and they added 2 great defenders in Leonard and Green so you know that they’re gonna be good on that end but, the offense is the thing that’s really impressive. Everyone seems to know their role. And what better example of that than Pascal Siacam. Perfect example here: As Lowry steals the ball, look at where Siacam is and how many players are in front of him. But he runs harder than everybody, puts himself in position to score an easy basket and he gets the layup to go. 100% effort. That’s how he gets all of his points. He scores exclusively by cuts to the basket and effort plays. Here’s another great example. As the shot is missed, he runs the break knowing that Lowry will find him if he’s open. And that’s exactly what happens. If you take a look at his shooting chart you’ll see why he’s an unbelievable 60% from the field. All of the attempts come from inside the paint. Again, cutting and making plays around the basket. As you can see from the Xs and Os he’s nowhere near a good outside shooter so he makes up with 100% effort. Moving on to a guy who IS a good shooter, Serge Ibaka is having a renesanse. Shooting 59.3% from the field, but look at how deadly he’s been from midrange. This is absolutely lethal. I’m not sure if this pace is sustainable for him but when he stretches the floor like that, it opens up a lot of opportunities for the team. And before we move on to the main attraction, I just wanted to shoutout Danny Green who is constantly underrated. Shooting a terrific 47 and a half percent from downtown while giving you effort on both ends of the court. He always plays winning basketball. I liked him a lot on the Spurs and I feel like only San Antonio fans know how much he’s worth. Which brings me to Kawhi Leonard. He’s using his body and bullying defenders before hitting them with the stepback or the fadeaway. Oh and I guess he plays some defense sometimes. He is the reason however why I feel like this is a finals or bust year for the Raptors. They’ve been great in the regular season for a while now, but constantly got owned in the playoffs. Now Lebron is gone and they have the best player in the conference. For at least this year. And to me that’s going to be key in retaining Leonard. If they can get past Boston, who I think have a better team overall just to be honest- but if they can get past them and go to the finals, chances are way bigger that Kawhi decides to stay. And that’s the sense of urgency for Toronto and especially for Kyle Lowry who froze in the playoffs year after year. This is do or die for him in the post season. And I feel like he plays not only for himself, but for the team to keep Kawhi as well. If he chokes again in the playoffs for the 4th straight year, at age 33, he’s not getting any younger, he proves his reputation that he’s not good under pressure, and to have the load all on Kawhi Leonard, to me that’s an easy way out for him to join a superteam and try to compete for a championship. The pressure is on for the Raptors, the question is, how do they respond. That’s it for now, if you liked this video subscribe and hit the notification bell so that you don’t miss my future in depth analysis. Talk to you in the next one. Peace out.

People as Objects – "I am a Sword" Analysis (Adventure Time)

A central theme in the episode “I Am a Sword” is the relationship between people and objects. This is predominantly explored by building on the relationship between Finn and his sword (which is also Finn), but the topic is alluded to in many scenes. This analysis video dissects the episode and explores the ways it incorporates objectification, objects as identity, personification of objects, and how these concepts reveal details about Finn, Finn Sword, Jake, Bandit Princess, and the other featured characters (BMO, Science Cat, Spear Bear, Badfoot Money, and Box Prince). Vibration analysis as an important tool for the centrifugal compressors commissioning

04:29
Ramírez, Rubén Commissioning and start-up is the final step before production runs in a processing plant. During this step, it's usual that several problems take place in the machinery. Machinery start-up and adjustments in the process conditions cause vibrations in the units. Centrifugal compressors are especially sensitive machines during this process and very critical. Thus vibration analysis is an important tool to detect mechanical failures and even imbalances in the process. Historical cases such as: oil-whirl, surge and other defects will be presented in this workshop

Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing. Non-profit, educational or personal use tips the balance in favor of fair use. FAIR USE DEFINITION: (Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_use) Fair use is a doctrine in the United States copyright law that allows limited use of copyrighted material without requiring permission from the rights holders, such as for commentary, criticism, news reporting, research, teaching or scholarship. It provides for the legal, non-licensed citation or incorporation of copyrighted material in another author’s work under a four-factor balancing test. The term “fair use” originated in the United States. A similar principle, fair dealing, exists in some other common law jurisdictions. Civil law jurisdictions have other limitations and exceptions to copyright. - (https://www.multiplechronicconditions.org/fair-use-act-disclaimer) The "Fifth Factor" - Transformative Use Transformative use is a relatively new addition to fair use law, having been first raised in a Supreme Court decision in 1994. (Campbell v. Acuff-Rose Music, 510 U.S. 569 (1994.) A derivative work is transformative if it uses a source work in completely new or unexpected ways. Importantly, a work may be transformative, and thus a fair use, even when all four of the statutory factors would traditionally weigh against fair use! Parody: Parody is one of the most clearly identified transformative uses, but any use of a source work that criticizes or comments on the source may be transformative in similar ways. Legal analysis about this kind of transformative use often engages with free speech issues. New Technologies: Courts have sometimes found copies made as part of the production of new technologies to be transformative uses. One very concrete example has to do with image search engines: search companies make copies of images to make them searchable, and show those copies to people as part of the search results. Courts found that those thumbnail images were a transformative use because the copies were being made for the transformative purpose of search indexing, rather than simple viewing. Other Transformative Uses: Because transformative use is a relatively new part of copyright law, it is still developing. Many commentators suggest that audio and video mixes and remixes are examples of transformative works, as well as other kinds of works that use existing content to do unexpected and new things. There is a lot of room for argument and interpretation in transformative use! - (https://www.lib.umn.edu/copyright/fairuse)
