Scripture Inspiration: Deuteronomy 24:19
Written Scripture: When you are harvesting in your field and you overlook a sheaf, do not go back to get it. Leave it for the foreigner, the fatherless and the widow, so that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.
Question of the Morning: Are you intentional in helping others
Taking care of the disadvantaged must be intentional and not a random act of compassion when we walk past a homeless person or see charity advert on TV. God desired that every time we harvest we would give a portion of the harvest to the poor, widows and fatherless. God reminded the nation of Israel that now they had some success not to forget that at one time they needed assistance and now it was their time to help others and pass on the blessing. It easy to forget that at some point someone, somewhere helped you to move forward in your life. That assistance could have come from a company, bank, government, school or a person but someone has helped you now you must help others
Lesson for the Day: We need to be intentional on a regular basis to help those who are worse off than ourselves. Remembering that at some point someone, somewhere helped us achieve some success.
Action for the Day: Set aside a portion of wealth to help others
